The original design of my final design was inspired by the spaceship of the London Science and Technology Museum, so the original color of the final design is the same as the color of the spaceship, which is full-body brown. Later I saw a street photo of a big bird graffiti on a wall in Shoreditch. The brown on the wall and the black, white and gray of the big bird are in harmony, so I wonder if I can also add black, white and gray elements to my design. Due to the style I set for this design is deeper, and I think it will looks not advance to add white felt to the leather, so I chose black and gray between black, white and gray, so in the end I Talk about the’patch’ on the skirt changed to gray and black.
The inspiration for my illustrations comes from the bond between the graffiti and my design. So I first drew the big bird with a black pen as shown in the photo. In order to restore the black, white and gray tones in the original picture, I didn’t color it. I personified my design and let her ride on the big bird. On the bird, but on her body used a black signature pen to draw the lines of the wall tiles, trying to express’the wall has become a picture of a girl embracing a big bird’. At the same time, I wanted the bird to interact with the girl, so I gave the big bird the hat of my design in this illustration.
