The final design was inspired by “the first spacecraft to the moon” at the London Science Museum. I saw this spaceship on the PPT of the online class. At first glance, I found it interesting, so I tried a little bit of association and reification. After that, I went to an exhibition in China and took photos. I wanted to integrate the elements of the content I took into the existing design draft, but after trying it, I found that the original plan was better, so I only used the photos taken later to do other collages.
Every detail of the final design can be found in the spacecraft. The glasses on the head are the two headlights on the top of the spacecraft. The hat is close to the look of the entire spacecraft after being squeezed horizontally. The fabric will use brown leather and tea dye. Cloth, felt fabrics in gray tones or brown tones, these colors are basically derived from the colors of the spacecraft itself.
At the same time, I also designed the matching shoes, the heel is pure wood, and the toe is covered with a layer of silver metal foil. The wood color is close to the original brown of the spaceship and the silver color deepens the technology feeling.
